Avelina Dean Mills was born on October 18, 1859 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory , daughter of William Gill Mills (1822–1895) and Emily Hill (1836–1906).
In 1860, Avelina was living with her father, William G (37); her daughter, Emily H (27); and Evelina Mills (8/12), Alexina Bray (10), Priscilla Picket (34), and Louisa Picket (undefined). [1]
Her children were:
- Emily Hill Saville (1881–1887)
- Willard Daniel Mills (1887–1964)
Avelina died on March 7, 1920 in Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, México, aged 60. She was buried in Panteón Municipal #02, Colonia Juarez, Casas Grandes Municipality, Chihuahua.[2]
