Catherine Miller, the daughter of Thomas Miller and Catherine Blackford, was born in 1891 at Orange, New South Wales, Australia.[1]
She married Henry Hordern on 2 September 1914 at Carcoar, New South Wales. [2]

The wedding of Miss Katie Miller, second youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Miller, of Mandurama public school, to Mr Henry Hordern, eldest son of Mr and Mrs P. G. Hordern, of Petersham, Sydney, was celebrated at the school residence, Mandurama, on Wednesday afternoon. 2nd inst. The Rev. Father O'Keeffe, of Carcoar, officiated at the ceremony, the bride being given away by her father. The bride's wedding dress consisted of white crepe-de-chene, with a bertha of shadow lace. Her veil was worn over a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white snowdrops.
The bridesmaids were Miss Vera Miller, sister of the bride, who wore a dress of white Japanese silk crepe, and Miss Hordern, sister of the bridegroom, who was attired in a dress of white ninon over pink crepe-de-chene. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of daffodils.
The bridegroom's gift to the bride consisted of a diamond ring, and to each of the bridesmaids a gold bangle. Mr Ken. Ford, of Narromine, acted as best man. At the wedding breakfast the usual toasts were honored, and the happy couple left for their honeymoon by the mail train for Sydney, en route for Melbourne and Tasmania. The bride wore as a travelling costume a smart coat and skirt of navy serge, with a hat of vieux rose crepe-de-chene. The wedding presents were numerous, consisting of many useful and valuable articles, and during the afternoon, the happy couple were also the recipients of a number of congratulatory telegrams.[3]
