Reuben is the eldest child of Tillman and Lydia. He can be found on the 1860 census with his Kreider grandparents and in 1870 with both his parents and also at his Uncle Peter's home. To the right is with one of his brothers but unsure which one.

He worked in the coal mines as a pump engineer.
He was a member of the POSofA Commandery Unit # 22 which was named Washington Commandery, located in Tower City, Schuylkill County; met at the Wagner Building on the 2nd Friday of the month. The Recorder(Secretary)R.F. Nunemacher who lived on Wiconisco Ave in Tower City www.posofa.org
After Mary Ellens death he remarried to Maggie Bowers who was the widow of Sylvester Miller. The marriage was September 5, 1900 in the St Paul´s Lutheran Church. Tower, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania[1]. He had several step children which many assume due to their last name are his children, their father is Sylvester; John 1882, Ella 1884 and George 1888.
He died of chronic interstitial nephritis[2] there is a plot with Mary Ellen that is where he was supposed to be interred. Instead he is buried in Seyberts Cemetery, Williamstown, Dauphin, Pennsylvania[3] next to his second wife.
