Biography

Samuel was born in 1741. He passed away in 1798. [1]

Research Notes

He is listed as born in 1741, in Berks County, Pennsylvania, although Berks County was not established until 1752, from parts of Chester County, Lancaster County, and Philadelphia County. Needs more research as to which county he was born in, in 1741.

Typical migration patters were from Pennsylvania, maybe thru Maryland, then to Virginia, and then many settlers moved from there to Eastern Tennessee. At the time it was called many things, including Washington North Carolina / Watauga Tennessee / Jefferson TN and counties diverged further. Many records for these families are found in the Watauga Association of Genealogists monthly newsletters (available for purchase).
