Biography

Mary was born about 1842. She passed away about 1889.

In the 1861 census Mary (age 19) was the unmarried daughter of George Henry Millais in Saint Helier, Jersey.[1]

In the 1871 census Mary (age 29) was the governess of Charles Henry Smith in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England.[2]

Mary's marriage to Alfred Hills was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1871 in the Lambeth district.[3]

Emmigrated to New Zealand

Died in New Zealand in 1889 (age 42) death reg: 1889/1708
