He is NOT listed or referenced in "Cavaliers & Pioneers, all vols"; "Bonded Passengers to America by Peter Wilson Coldham" (these were condemned prisoners who were effectively slaves); "Indentured Emigrants to America by Peter Wilson Coldham" or "Emigrants to America edited by Michael Tepper".
As he was 16yrs old in 1695, it is possible he arrived as part of a ships crew. I am having no luck finding either ships or crew manifests from that time frame. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
James married Mary Pulley (Pully) daughter of William Pully. William bought 50 acres for 15 shillings on the west side of Stony Run Creed between Spring Grove and Claremont which runs into Sunken Meadow Pond. This is on the present day county line of Prince George and Surry counties. I suspect he was buried on the Pully farm.
A special thanks to Surry County Historical Societies' Claude and Thomas for their ongoing project to identify graves on Colonial era farms.
