I'm happy to communicate in English, German, Italian or Danish.
My main interest is finding connections between the various branches of the MEYN family. I'm particularly keen on finding a connection to the MEYN from Eichholz near Nieder-Marschacht, the MEYN from the area of Cadenberge and the MEYN from Beverstedt.

My roots / meine Wurzeln
- Ich hatte bisher immer gedacht, dass meine Wurzeln der väterlichen Meyn-Linie in Dithmarschen liegen, aber es ist möglich, dass die Familie ursprünglich aus dem Kehdinger Land von der anderen Seite der Elbe kam. Die Quellenlage ist aber derzeit noch nicht eindeutig.
- Die Mutter meines Vaters war eine geborene Kromann, deren Vorfahren aus Skærbæk (Scherrebek) in Tondern stammen, daher habe ich partiell dänische Wurzeln.
- Die Mutter meiner Mutter war eine geborene Kursawe, deren Familie aus Niederschlesien stammte und für den Bau des Nord-Ostsee-Kanals nach Schleswig-Holstein kam. Ich habe also teilweise auch polnische Wurzeln.

Biography / Biografie
Geboren am 06.07.1967 in Kiel, aufgewachsen in Kiel-Mettenhof.
1981 nach Goosefeld bei Eckernförde umgezogen.
Abitur 1987 an der Jungmannschule Eckernförde
seit 2001, nach einem recht bewegten Leben in mehreren europäischen Ländern (die Details würden hier definitiv den Rahmen sprengen) in Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein beheimatet.
Betreibt Ahnenforschung seit 2010 > womit alles seinen Anfang nahm

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s VERY IMPORTANT to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
