Eliza (Metcalf) Radeke was a Rhode Islander.
7th president of RISD from 1913-1931, the college her mother founded in 1977. Collector of German folk art.
She was born in Augusta, Georgia but lived in Providence, Rhode Island nearly her entire life since 1860. She married Dr. Gustav Radeke, a physician from Hamburg, Germany, in 1880.
Eliza Greene Radeke died on 17 March 1931 and was buried in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island, United States.[1] Her obituary was printed in the Hartford Courant on 18 March 1931 in Hartford, Connecticut.[2][3]
