I, Glenna Meredith, am a California native whose roots lie in the hills and hollows of south central Kentucky, primarily Edmonson County. My parents Doris Mildred and Maurice, traveled West in the early 50's and landed in Southern California, where dad went to work immediately at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard, a seemingly natural segue from the Navy, in which he served for thirteen years (WWII and Korea).

My skills and education have led to working in the field of decorative arts and interior design, as well as a stint in the salon industry. I worked for several years as a muralist in California, and later in the Tulsa, OK area. Currently I am concentrating on works on canvas and paper mediums.

I live now in Brownsville, Ky., in the home in which my mother was born. It was purchased by Surrilda Hazlip sometime prior to 1920, and has been the home of successive generations starting with my grandparents, Lena May and James Lawrence.
