Hyman Menkes has Jewish Roots.

Hyman was the son of Moses Leib Mankes and Ruchel Hellin.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}

He married Annie Axelrod in 1901. They had four children:

2. Morris "Moe", b. 1907^{[2][3][4][5][6]}
3. Ida, b. 1911, d. 1914
4. Katherine "Kitty", b. 1915^[4][5]

Hyman died on 15 Jul 1943,^[7]
