Deborah was born about 1842. She is the daughter of Joseph Mendenhall and Rosanna Cain.[1]

Mrs. Deborah Anna Garvin, 84, died at 7:40 p.m. yesterday at her home, 1204 Riehl street, of complications of age. She was born Dec. 21, 1841, in Morgan county, O., and came to Waterloo 35 years ago.
She was a member of the Burton Avenue Baptist church.
Surviving are a son, George F. Garvin, Coldwater, Mich., a daughter, Miss Ida M. Garvin, Waterloo; a grandson, W.L. Garvin, Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. J.P. King, Waterloo; also five brothers and two sisters, residing in Ohio. Her husband died 40 years ago and a son, Joseph J. Garvin, died one an one-half years ago.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from Kistner's chapel, in charge of Rev. William Wilkins, pastor of Burton Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in Fairview.
