Biography

Catharine was born on 1 May 1849 in NJ. She was the daughter of David Meldrum and Emma Braithwaite.^{[1] [2]}

Catharine was baptised on 11 July 1849 in Trinity Episcopal Church of Easton, PA.^[3] In 1860, Kate lived in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. ^[4] When Catharine was about 29 she married Frank Payne in 1879 in prob. PA. The couple had one child: Francis Payne.^[5]

In January 1901 Catharine (age 51) was living in Chicago, IL.^[6]

Catharine died at the age of 69 after October 1918 at an unknown location.^[7]
