Biography

Jonathan S. Mead (Jonathan,John,John,William) was born in 1715.[1]

Note: Use of the "S" as a middle initial is a convention applied to avoid confusion with the many other Jonathans in this extended Mead family. Whether it was ever used in his lifetime is not known.

Incorrect Information

Wife: Wife was Sarah Guernsey.

Unfortunately, Spencer P Mead's 1901 work contained errors, among which was the assertion that Jonathan's father Jonathan Mead, had died without issue. As a result, Mead wrote that Jonathan's cousin, Jonathan Mead (Jonathan,Jonathan,John,William), married Sarah Guernsey.[2] Lucius E. Weaver tells us that Mead subsequently corrected his error, and in Weaver's book, Genealogy of a branch of the Mead family ..., the missing members of the family are documented.[1]

Origins

Jonathan was born in Greenwich, Connecticut _______ 10, 1715.[1] He was a son of Jonathan Mead and Esther Butler.

There are no Hezekiah's mentioned in Weaver's book, so I am wondering if Jonathan is Hezekiah's father or not.
