Note N350According to the Johnstown Tribune of July 31, 1890, Miss Lizzie McVay, age 20, of Locust St was listed among the victims of the Great Johnstown Flood. This was also verified by her mother's obituary (Mary McClarren McVay -see obit).

Note N3511880 Census: 'Lizzy' is recorded as a 12 year old daughter at school, who was born in PA.

Note N352According to the Clark's May 1889 Johnstown City Directory, Miss 'Lizzie McVeigh' worked as a domestic in the house of William H Smith, a contractor and builder, then located at 31 Singer St., Conemaugh Borough (now 125Singer St., Johnstown).NOTE: This house was built ca. 1870 in the brick Second Empire style and is still standing as part of the Old Conemaugh Historic District. The building is highlighted by a complex stickwork porch includingsunburst and turned moldings, stonewatercourses and window sills with carved floral motifs, and three tall chimneys.

Note N353Her grave is located next to Joseph and Mary (McClarren) McVay's graves at the St. John Gualbert Catholic Cemetery (the old St. John's Cemetery, Section L4), Geistown, Richland Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. None ofthe markers have beenphotographed yet.

Note N3541870 Census: 'Lizzie McWay' is recorded as a 2 year old daughter of Joseph and Mary McWay in the 1st ward.
