Biography

Sandra graduated from United Community High School in 1961. She attended both the University of Iowa and Des Moines Area Community Colllege working toward an associate degree in Human Services. She worked at the Woodward State Hospital-School (now Woodward Resource Center) and retired in 2004 after being an Education Aide. Her husband, Robert, also retired from working at the Woodward Resource Center. They moved from Woodward, Iowa to Perry, Iowa in 2019.

I wonder if the server is starting to slow down or act up. I was having some of those problems but I was always able to get it to work in the end. I just thought it was my laptop acting up. I'll keep and eye and ear out to see if anybody mentions anything going on like this and keep you informed.

Hi Sandra, I checked into Monroe. Found James Monroe Garrett. I went back to his father and grandfather. No discoveries, yet, but they seem to have originated from same area. I feel sure that there is some relationship between the Garretts. will continue to look.

Please merge Hay-2484 and Hay 2889. I have provided additional information to the other profile manager that shows she could not have been born in Virginia.

Elizabeth (Hay) Semple was born in 1598. However, Augusta, Virginia was not visited by white people until 1716 & it was not colonized by white people until 1732. Therefore, it would have been impossible for Elizabeth (Hay) Semple , who was born in 1598, to have been born in Augusta, Virginia. She was born in Scotland.
