Biography

Genealogy is very important to me. It gives me a connection to the past and only enriches my sense of identity. I enjoy finding relatives and growing the family tree.

I must also come forth and admit that I am very amateurish at genealogy, and so I'm bound to make plenty of mistakes. I only ask that you bear with me.

If you'd like to reach out to me, please do! My Instagram, Facebook, Ancestry, and 23&Me links are listed on my profile.

Hello Issac, I noticed that you detached Richard Warren from his father Anthony Warren. Please do not detach family members without sources to verify the detachment is correct. You should always Collaborate with the profile managers before making any major changes to a profile. It is a part of our Honor Code. If you have sources to verify that Richard and Anthony were not father and son you can leave a comment on the profile and the managers will receive it. I am sure that they would appreciate your help. Thanks, Laura

Hi Isaac,

It's okay to be new here. There's a bit of a learning curve, but you're going to be fine! I was trying to find a project you might like to join, so I glanced at a couple of the older profiles you manage. You are doing just fine. I'd suggest adding the links to your sources so that other relations can find them easily, but other than that - well done!!

Now, since I can't find a specific area you might like, I am going to post the message where you choose an interest. :)

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Please take your time. Speed is less important than accuracy here. Add at least one source to each profile before you leave it.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Hi Claire,

Thank you for the encouragement! I've been working on my family tree for quite some time now, but I must admit, WikiTree was a little daunting at first. I think I'm beginning to get the hang of it now, though! I'll be sure to look over my sources again and to make them more accessible, and to check out those projects!
