Biography

Louise was born in 1868 in River Inhabitants, Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of John McNamara and Sarah Cruikshank. [In the birth registration, the name is spelled Lueaza, but baptismal records of her children and Census records show the name as Louisa.] She married William Proctor, son of Richard Proctor and Catherine Cloake about 1890. In 1891 they are living in the household of William's father, with a five month old child, Susan C. In 1931 they are living in Evanston with sons Hubert and Basil in the household, along with Basil's spouse, Rita and their two young children, John, aged 1, and Anna Bernice, age 7 months. She died in Evanston, Nova Scotia in 1938 from a stroke.
