Sheena (McLaren) Bradshaw
Honor Code SignatorySigned 16 Jul 2016 | 432 contributions | 10 thank-yous | 169 connections
Sheena McLaren was born in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland, the last of four children to Dan and Isa (McKiirdy). At the age of 27 she married and migrated to Australia. After 18 months living in Melbourne, a sense of adventure had them heading north on a journey of exploration. 3000 miles later, they arrived in Townsville in Queensland where they both still live (though now divorced).
She worked as a dental nurse then a medical secretary. In 1980 she went to work at James Cook University where she completed a university degree, moved into management and would stay there until her retirement in 2007.
In retirement she loves to travel and has visited 6 of the 7 continents - only Africa left. Retirement has allowed her to pick up the pieces of her family history project.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
The Scotland Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Just checking in with a few quick tips:
Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".
Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, please ask!
Michelle ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello and welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you've ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you'd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you'll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! We're really glad you're here.
