Obituary

COLLINSON
A double bereavement came to the family and friends of Mr. Robert Collinson, Victoria avenue, during the week-end, his only son, Edward, passing away on Saturday at Chicago, while on Sunday evening Mrs. Collinson, who has been ill for some time, passed on.
The family had no knowledge of the son's illness at Chicago until the message conveying the news of his death reached here on Sunday. Mr. Collinson was about 50 years of age and had resided at Chicago for the past 40 years. He was a construction engineer and unmarried. :The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, the Masonic order, of which he was a prominent member, having charge of the arrangements and conducting the service.
The late Mrs. Collinson was born in Huron County. Ont. After her marriage she resided at Paisley. Ont., where the members of the family were born. Later Mr. and Mrs. Collinson moved to Goderich, Ont., and eleven years ago came to Chilliwack, where they have resided since.
The surviving members of the family are deceased's aged husband, and two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Stark, Chilliwack, and Mrs. E. J. Roos, of Kamloops.
The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon. Service was conducted in Cooke's Presbyterian church by Rev. A. C. Wishart. interment being made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
The sympathy of many friends here go out to the members of the family in their double bereavement.[8]
