Margaret (McLaren) Robertson was born in Scotland.

Margaret was born about 1797, Stirlingshire. Parents being Duncan McLaren and Barbara Mitchell.

Birth or Baptism registered on 31st August 1797, in the Drymen, Stirlingshire.^[1]

1834 Margaret McLaren, resident of Port, married Duncan Robertson, resident of Kippen. The marriage was held at Killearn, by the Rev. Graham. ^[2]

Note: Residence for Margaret, ( Port ) , which later became Port of Menteith.

1841 Residence Arnfinlay, Kippen, Perthshire. Margaret Robertson age 35, her husband Duncan Robertson age 25, occupation Agricultural Labourer. Children in the household Duncan Robertson age 4 years and John Robertson age 2. All household members birthplace recorded as Perthshire. ^[3]

1851 Residence Arnprior, Perthshire. Margaret Robertson, age 46, birthplace Stirling, husband Duncan Robertson, age 40 years, occupation Labourer, birthplace Perth.
