Born Henry Herman McKinnies Jr, Jeffrey Hunter starred or co-starred in a wide variety of movies during his 20 year Hollywood career. He played Jesus in the 1961 film King of Kings,[1] and Captain Christopher Pike of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the pilot episode of "Star Trek" entitled The Cage, and subsequently the remake The Menagerie, Part I and The Menagerie, Part II .
