Welcome to the DNA Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:DNA

To make DNA connections with your cousins, WikiTree needs to see your FamilyTree. You should use the pale yellow Privacy setting on any profiles in your DNA family line so that WikiTree can see the Family Tree tab. (Please set all living children to the Unlisted privacy level.)

As you add your family lines and connect to the big WikiTree, you may find you are related to people you never expected. Use the Relationship calculator to see if you are related to me, Cooper-1 with http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Relationship

Please let me know if you need any assistance.

I was adopted at birth, but through legal means at about age 35 was able to find my biological parents. I have had my DNA tested with Ftdna, 23andMe, and Ancestry.
Linda, in order to create profiles, you need to click the volunteer button, then one of the greeters can confirm you. After that, you can add unlimited profiles, photos, and documents. :)

Go to edit on your profile. A new page will open. There is a place where you can add your parents. In your bio, add the information in reference to your adoptive parents. That way, both will get credit!  :)

Even though I'm adopted, I legally found out who my parents were. I'm trying to enter them on here, and it won't let me (or I don't know how).
Hi Linda, I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Hi Linda, I would like to mention that we require every member to create a profile in their own surname, since this enables the profile to find its rightful place in our family tree. Our naming conventions can be found at [Name Fields].

In the naming field the "I was adopted" can be put in the Biography section. Thank you, Sally
