Biography

Sara was the third of four children born to Allen and Mary McGowan.[1] She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.[2]

She served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946, and was discharged as a Yeoman First Class.[3]. In 1950, Sara was working as a stenographer at the U.S. Federal Housing Agency.[4]

She married Albert Biderbost when she was about 32. They are the parents of three children. Albert died in 1967, leaving Sara and their children, then ages ten and under.

She was living in Seattle and working for the Passport Division of the US Department of State in 1990.[5] She retired from the passport agency at age 71.

Sara died at age 90. She is buried in Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, Shoreline Washington.[6]
