Biography

• Thomas Allan McEwan was born about 1884 in Stirlingshire, Scotland^[1]. He was the son of Allan McEwan^[2] and his wife Ellen.
• In the 1891 Scottish census, Thomas McEwan was age 7, living at Dunbarton, Dunbartonshire^[1].
• Thomas McEwan travelled to Montreal, Canada to work as an engineer in 1906^[3].
• Thomas Allan McEwan, an engineer from Dunbarton, Scotland married Agnes Henry from Belfast, County Antrimat First Antrim Presbyterian Church, Antrim, County Antrim in 1914^[2]. Agnes Henry's sister Margretta Henry was one of the witnesses at the wedding.
• Thomas and Agnes McEwan moved to Dunbarton, Scotland at some point. They had three children^[4].

Research Notes

It seems that Agnes may have travelled to Canada in 1906. There is a passenger list entry for Miss A S Henry in October 1906^[5]. This means she may have met her husband Thomas in Canada.
