- Emigrated from Scotland to Brunswick, North Carolina in September, 1739.[1]
His will was probated in Cumberland county, North Carolina on 4 July 1783.[2]

He lived on the Cape Fear River, north of the present city of Fayetteville in what is now Harnett county."[3]
