Biography

Both parents born in South Carolina.

Patrick was born about 1800. He passed away about 1870.

In 1824 he married 1st wife, Mary Jennings, who died in 1839. They had children together.

Lived in South Carolina when son, Jacob, was born,

Lived in Ohio in 1834 when son, Levi was born.

Sometime after son, Levi's 1834 birth in Ohio and before son, John's 1837 birth he moved the family to Illinois.

March 13, 1838 bought 40 acres, NE1/4 SE 1/4 sect. 3, Township 5 South, Range 6 West, Pike County, IL. for $1.25 per acre.

In 1840 he was a widower who lived in Pike County, Illinois with 3 sons under age 5 (Levi, John, Martson), 1 son aged 5-9 yrs (Jacob), 1 son aged 15-19 yrs (William?), 2 daughters aged 10-14 yrs (Martha and ???) (7 children total).

On January 13, 1841 he married 2nd wife, Hebsybeth Berry, who died in 1859.

In 1850 he lived with 2nd wife, Hebsybeth, and 4 children, plus son-in-law, Isaac W. Neely (27), daughter, Martha Neely (24), and his 2 granddaughters, in Township 4 South, Range 6 West, Pike County, Illinois. 1850 owned $410 in real estate.

In 1859 his 2nd wife was buried in Livingston County, Missouri.

April 1, 1860 married Sarah Riffe in Livingston County, Missouri.

1860 lived with 3rd wife wife, Sarah, in Mound Township, Livingston County, Missouri. 1860 owned 1,600 in real estate and $200 in personal property. 1860 was farming.

In 1870 he lived with 3rd wife, Sarah, and son, Levi, and his wife, and 3 grandchildren, on his farm in Union Township, Marion County, Missouri. 1870 owned $400 in real estate and $250 in personal property. 1870 was "without occupation".

In 1880 he lived at son, Levi's home with 3rd wife, Sarah, and 2 grandchildren, in Indian Valley Township, Colusa County, California.

January 1, 1882 died in Stony Creek, Colusa County, California.
