She lived in Civil District 8, Knox, Tennessee, United States in 1930[3] and 1940.[4]
She died on 27 February 2018, in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 90, and was buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States.[5]
Nona Louise McClure Platillero, 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee died Tuesday, February 27 at Parkwest Medical Center, to be forever joined with Christ Jesus in heaven.

Graduated from Columbia Bible College in 1951 moved to Barcelona, Spain as a single missionary where she met her husband Francisco (Paco) Platillero of Alicante, Spain. They were married at First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 9, 1957.
Nona and Paco raised six children and spent 20 years of ministry in Alicante, Spain planting a church out of their home that would later grow to become “Rio Vida,” a center for Christian education and retreats with Torchbearers International.
Nona and Paco retired and moved back to Knoxville, Tennessee in the late 1990’s, where Nona cared for Paco, spent time with her children and grandchildren, served in her church, helped organize local hispanic outreaches, volunteered at nursing homes and at Paideia Academy, and reached out to young people in her neighborhood by organizing “Jesus Birthday Parties” for 17 years.
Nona was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She carried great joy through her bright smile and kind eyes, and she always sought opportunities to share the love of Christ with others. She will be greatly missed.
