Biography

Alonzo (or "Lonnie"), son of John Hannibal McClary and Emma Stinchcomb, was born in December of 1867. His great nephew, Garland France, remembers him as a "true cowboy" who worked as a bounty hunter in Oklahoma for much of his adult life. Lonnie was constantly on the move, and while the reason he never married is unknown, one can only assume that this "cowboy spirit" was a large part of it.
Lonnie passed away in the spring of 1948[1] on the homestead of youngest brother John Milton McClary where [John] had built a modest log cabin for his brother upon his retirement.[2]
