Ann McCausland was born on 17 October 1769 in Province of Pennsylvania, daughter of John McCausland (~1731–~1778) and Esther Stewart (1739–1803).[1]
Her siblings were:

- Thomas McCausland (~1774 – about 0 October 1807)
Ann married David Woods (born on 7 July 1772 in Ireland; son of Mary Scott). Their children were:
- Hetty Woods (2 October 1803 – 14 May 1900)
- Thomas Scott Woods (7 January 1810 – 18 February 1875)
Ann died on 31 March 1850 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 80. She was buried in Old Leacock Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Intercourse, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.[1]
