Jean (McCann) Broad was born in Queensland, Australia
Florence Jean McCann was born on 14th April 1926 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Jean (she always went by her middle name) was the only daughter of Jim McCann and Lottie Walls.
Jean worked as a registered nurse.
Jean married English emigrant, Jim Broad, in 1966 in the West End Methodist Church (now Uniting), Queensland. They had no children. They made their home in Anglesea, Victoria, before retiring to Buderim, in Queenlsand's Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Having been widowed for ten years and aged ninety years, Jean passed away in July 2016 in Buderim.
