• Maurine (née McCallum) passed away on February 8, 2003 at the age of 81 years.
• Maurine was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 31, 1921 to Henry and Mable McCallum of Wynyard, SK. She attended grade school in Saskatoon and Prince Albert, SK, high school in Regina where she obtained a secondary education, one year at Regina College, one year at the University of Alberta and three years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Victoria, BC. Graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1943, Maurine joined the Royal Canadian Medical Corps in March of 1944 and was commissioned 2/LT Nursing Sister in July, later that same year.
• Maurine is survived by her loving family, her husband John L. (Jack) Yeats of Calgary, AB; five sons, Doug (Judy) of Calgary, AB, Robert (Glenda) of Calgary, AB, James (Darlene) of Dundalk, ON, Randy of Calgary, AB and Allan (Kristiina) of Calgary, AB; also four grandsons and five granddaughters.
• Memorial Reception for Maurine held on February 22, 2003 in the Chapel of Scenic Acres Retirement Residence, 150 Scotia Landing NW, Calgary, AB.
