Biography

Arlie was born 12/18/1906 in Arkansas. His father was Elonzo Cosmo McCaleb and his mother was Adonia Alice “Dona” Leach, both from Arkansas. In 1910 Arlie was living with his parents and siblings in Stilwell, Adair, Oklahoma where his father was a farmer. His parents divorced. In 1920 Arlie was living with his mother and siblings in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California where his mother was a shirt factory operator. On 7/30/1921 Arlie was riding on a motorcycle driven by his friend George Reynolds in Santa Rosa. The motorcycle was struck by a train while crossing railroad tracks on 4th Street and both boys died from their injuries. Arlie is buried with his mother in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural WHC 74).
