George was born in 1836. He was the son of Barnett McAdoo and Sarah Merritt. He passed away in 1920.

Lying in rest next to wife Anna McAdoo, and behind son-in-law, Homer Smith. G. W. McAdoo Dead: "Grandpa" G. W. McAdoo died suddenly at his home in this city this morning about 7 o'clock. While old age had been telling on him and he had been in feeble health for several years, his death was unexpected.

On yesterday he walked about the yard, and this morning was sitting up a few minutes before death came. He laid down on the bed and a few minutes later his son, Will McAdoo, noticed that he had peacefully passed away. "Grandpa" told his grandson, A. A. McAdoo; yesterday that his time had come and that he would not live through another day.

G. W. McAdoo was born in Tennessee Oct. 20, 1836. He was twice married, and of the five children by his first marriage, three now live, namely: Mrs. Said of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Frazier of Coats, Kan.; and B. A. (Joe) McAdoo of Kinsley, Kan. Of his six children from his second marriage, three survive, namely: Mrs. Nellie Wilson of Arcadia, Okla.; Mrs. Dean of Ingersoll, Okla.; and Will McAdoo of Davis.

Mr. McAdoo came to Davis from Missouri about 18 years ago. He was a farmer and stock dealer all his life.
