Biography

Born Florence was born in 1881 ^{[1] [2]}.

In 1891 ^[3] Florence (9) was living with her parents and siblings in Horwich, Lancashire.
In 1901 ^[4] Florence (19) "cotton winder" was living with her widowed mother and siblings in Darwen, Lancashire.

Marriage Florence married Benjamin Thomas Ainsworth in 1904 ^[5].
Their daughter Kathleen Ainsworth was born in 1907 in Leeds Registration area ^[6]. NB Mother's maiden name on Kathleen's birth registration was incorrect.

In 1911 ^[7] Florence (29) and Benjamin (37) "Assistant Superintendent" were living at 28 Dorset Avenue Harehills Leeds together with daughter Kathleen (3).
In 1921 ^[8] Florence (39) "home duties" and Benjamin (47) "Assistant Superintendent Insurance" were living at 3 Thistle Bank, King Cross, Halifax, Yorkshire together with daughter Kathleen (14).
In 1939 ^[9] Florence (59) and Benjamin (65) "Retired Insurance Officer" were living at 36 Hickgate Road Blackburn Lancashire.

Florence's husband Benjamin died age 77 in 1951 ^[10] and was buried in St. Mary's Churchyard, Mellor, Ribble Valley Borough, Lancashire ^[11] [1]

Died Florence died age 91 in 1972 ^[12] and buried in St. Mary's Churchyard, Mellor, Ribble Valley Borough, Lancashire [2].

Research Notes

• Date of birth was taken from death registration. Day and moth were confirmed by 1939 England Register which transcribed the year as 1887 instead of 1881.
  
• Birth registration shows her surname was Mayoh and not Maysh as originally stated above. The birth registration of daughter Kathleen was a typo.
  
• There were no further births registered either for Mayoh or Maysh.
