McGuire, which came to them by descent as heirs at law of the said John McGuire, the execution being levied on 180 acres of land late the property of John McGuire, deceased, on John’s Creek adjoining where Thomas Matthews lived 4 May 1816, Buffalo Creek. Land purchased at public auction.

• Floyd County, Kentucky Deed Book C, p. 77 (FHL Film 7902339, Image 37) – Typescript; 16 August 1827, Property of George Martin sold by virtue of sundry executions against said Martin and in favor of Solomon McGuire and Burwell Vaughn, namely, furniture and kitchen items; sold at auction to H. B. Mayo. Henry B. Mayo gave the estate above to Peggy Emeline Martin, infant daughter of George Martin and if she dies before legal age the same to her sister Elizabeth Martin.
