Know all men by these presents that we Pressly Mayhew and Jane Mayhew have constituted ordained and appointed George F. Davidson all of the County of Iredell and State of North Carolina our true and lawful attorney for us and in our name to do and transact all business relative to certain lands which descended to Jane Mayhew wife of Presly Mayhew as heir at law from her father Alexander Worke deceased to trade sell and convey all such lands as well those situated in this state as in the State of Tennessee and to execute deeds receipts and acquisitions for the same for us and in our names as fully as we would ourselves - In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 22nd day of August 1832,
