Biography

Jules Alfred Mathieu was born on 4 Feb 1884 in Beauceville, the son of Jules Mathieu, farmer, and Obéline Veilleux. He was baptised the same day in the parish of St-François-d'Assise, with his uncle Louis Veilleux and Césarie Fontaine standing as his godparents. Neither signed, and his father was absent^[1].

At just 20 years old Jules Alfred Mathieu, son of Jules Mathieu, farmer, and Obéline Veilleux, passed away on 17 Mar 1904 in Beauceville. He was buried 2 days later in the parish of St-François-d'Assise, as witnessed by his father and Charles Bernard. Signed by his father^[2].
