Biography

Frank was born on October 21, 1855. He was the son of Alfred Mathews and Sally Reed.^[1] He is living with his parents and siblings during the 1860 Census^[2] and 1870 Census.^[3]

On January 19, 1876, Frank married Georgeanna Pyle. Together they had nine children.^[1] In the 1880 Census, he is listed with his wife and two children, and his occupation is steamboating.^[4] He is listed with his wife and six children in the 1900 Census.^[5] In the 1910 Census, Frank is listed with his wife, two youngest sons and his mother-in-law.^[6]

He passed away on January 30, 1926.^[7][8] He was interred at Duncan Falls Cemetery.^[9]

Research Notes

• Sue's compilation records birth on October 21, 1855. The John Pyle genealogy also records his birth date as October 21, 1855.^[10] From the various census records, it appears 1856 would have been his birth year. However, the death record also shows birth date to be October 21, 1855.
• No marriage record found.
