Mary was born in 1796. She passed away in 1844.
Mary H. Maris DeWees was the daughter of David Maris and Sarah Rachel Fawkes. Her siblings were: Nathaniel (1781), Rachel (1783), Curtis (1786), Rebecca (1788), Jonathan (1789), Ann (1791), Lewis (1793), Owen (1799), Isaiah (1802), and Lydia (1803).
She married Thomas Lee DeWees in 1816 and their children were: Lewis M. (1817), Jonathan F. (1820), Anna Maris (1821), Isaiah F. (1823), Mary Lee (1825), William H. (1827), Charles Baron (1830), Greenbury Plummer (1832), Eliza Jane (1833), Sarah M. (1834), and Francis Marion (1843).
