Biography
Mary Ellen "Nelly" Marcy, born about 1835 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was the daughter of Randolph Marcy and Mary Amelia Mann.[1].
She married George Brinton McClellan on 22 May 1860.[2][3] They had two children, Mary, born in Ohio in 1862, and George B., born in Saxony while the couple was temporarily staying there.[4][5]
The widow of General George Brinton McClellan, she died on 12 February 1915, 37 rue Cotta in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France at 79 years of age.[1]
