Thomas Cruise Mapother II was born on 17 Dec 1907 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States, son of Judge Thomas Cruise Mapother (1876 - 1939) and Anna Stewart (Batman) Mapother (1877 - 1968).^[1]

He lived with his parents in Louisville, Jefferson County, during his childhood.^[2][3][4]

Thomas C Mapother, Jr followed in his father's footsteps and attended St. Mary's College in Kansas^[5][6] He took his law exam on July 16, 1930 in Frankfurt, KY. ^[7]

Thomas married Catherine Louise Reibert (1912 - 1993). There are 2 marriage records found for this couple. The first in Clark, Indiana ^[8] on January 11, 1934 and a second on Feburary 14, 1934 (Valentine's Day) in Louisville, KY.^[9][10] His brother gave a Stag Dinner for him 2 weeks after his marriage.^[11]

In the 1940 census Thomas (age 33) was the married head of household in Magisterial District 1, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States. He was an attorney in his own practice living with his wife and 2 young sons.^[12]

Thomas died on 17 Jan 1986 in Louisville aged 78^[13]. He is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA.^[14]
