Biography

William Maltman was born in Portpatrick, Wigtownshire in 1875, his parents were, James Maltman, (Harbour Diver) and Helen (Ellen) Wither. ^[1]

William, a Labourer and widower married Jane Lyon (Jeanie) in Ayr in 1907. ^[2]

William and Jane had a son named James Maltman born 1907.

William was involved in an accident and died in Ayr County Hospital of Internal Injuries in 1910, aged 35. ^[3]
