Rebecca Elizabeth Male (married name Buckland) was born on 23 September 1819 in Holborn, Borough of Camden, Central London, England, the daughter of Martha and Richard Male.

She was christened on 16 January 1820 at St Andrew Holborn Above the Bars with St George the Martyr, Holborn.^[1]

She married William John Buckland on 26 September 1839 in Lambeth, Surrey, England.^[2]

Rebecca died in 1884 in Richmond, Victoria, aged 65 years.^[3]
