Hi JB,

I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.

Hi JB,

It's good to see you active at WikiTree again. Thanks for taking responsibility for the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

Looks like you're well on your way with updating profiles from your new GEDCOM file. One of our mentors created a guide for the GEDCOMpare process that is full of tips on making the most efficient use of your data. There is a fairly new tool that can help with cleaning up GEDCOM created biographies. It lets you concentrate on the genealogy rather than the formatting. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

I hope some of this helps,

Hi JB

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz.

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential.

Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations. Citations & links for sources enable verification of data please add, from your wiki ID you can go to Research to find sources

Any questions just ask

Janet ~ Pre 1700 Greeter

Oops, sorry about the second email. I just noticed that you have all the surname spelling variations in one tag. I would suggest that you create separate tags for your surname spelling variations. With the surnames combined in a tag, the link to others researching the name doesn't work.

Hi JB,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?

I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

Debi ~ WikiGreeter

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links? Each takes you to a page of other people who have that tag and WikiTree links which might be helpful.

Thank you for volunteering. You are now a full member of WikiTree.

Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:

Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
