I am researching my paternal Newfoundland/Irish and maternal English ancestors. My Gedmatch number is A800268 and my Gedcom is 1949265.
On my father's side, most of my ancestors immigrated to Newfoundland from Ireland in the late 1700s to early 1800s -- their surnames were Keefe/O'Keefe (Waterford), Houlihan/Hollohan, Tobin, Dobbin, Sexton, Reardon/O'Riordan, Meaney and Meagher/Maher. I also have a couple of paternal ancestors who immigrated to Newfoundland from Dorset, England -- Seymour and Horlick.
On my mother's side, my ancestors are from Devon -- Heal/Heale, Caro, Jeffrey, Symmons, Hooper, Beare, Dennis -- and from Warwickshire -- Taylor, Berkin, Hadley, Pye, Wilkes. The Caros were originally from West Prussia. They were German Jews.
