1729 Birth

Hezekiah Magruder was born in Prince George's County, Maryland in 1729. [1] He was the son of Alexander and Ann Wade Magruder. [1] [2]

Hezekiah Magruder was the son of Captain Alexander Magruder and his wife Anne. [3]

1756 Marriage

He married Susannah Talbot (1735-1798). She was born 8 December 1735 in Calvert County, Maryland and died 6 October 1798. She was the daughter of Daniel Talbott and Elizabeth Birckhead. [3] [1]

Marriage Year is Estimation. Their son Daniel was born 1757, which would place their marriage at least a year earlier. In 1756 Hezekiah would have been 27 and Susannah 21, not unreasonable ages for the beginning of a marriage. NOTE : The 1776 Census (Cited below) shows son Daniel age 12 in 1776, so born closer to 1763-1764.

1776 Colonial Maryland Census

The August 1776 Census of Frederick County, Province of Maryland, shows Hezekiah Magruder, age 47, with two sons: Daniel (age 12) and George (age 10).[4]

1790 Census

He was a resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, in the 1790 Census.[5]

1806 Death

Hezekiah died in Montgomery County, Maryland, November 4th, 1806. [1] or October 4th, 1806 [2] or October 26, 1806.[3]

CE Boggus
Magruder-443 and Magruder-42 appear to represent the same person because: Although the dates differ, these represent the same person. The dates in Magruder-42 appear to be correct due to the source cited, Sons of the American Revolution application. The date of birth in Magruder-443 is probably too late, and its date of death may be the probate date. I will have to research that. The parents, spouse, and son Daniel are the same.
