Michel and Marie had four children together:

  1. Charles Chartier: born August 5, 1666 and baptized August 6, 1666 in Ste-Famille, Íle d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France [6]

The Île d'Orléans widow remarried quickly to one of the settlement's founders, thirty-one year old Louis Jinchereau, a French emigrant from Saint-Mathurin, Luzon, France,[11] on January 7, 1673 in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Quebec, Canada.[12][13][14].

Louis and Marie have seven children:

  4. Guillaume Jinchereau: born October 23, 1678 and baptized October 24, 1678 in Ste-Famille, Île-d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France [18]

Hi George, let me know when you're done the English side and I will do the French side. Nos Origines is like Ancestry, not really a source except when they actually quote their sources. The prior DOB appears to come from Breesefam.ged, which has been found to contain lots of errors.

Greetings Guy,

Exactly the feedback I need to up my game and get the mythology out of my genealogy. Don't know what I don't know!

Hi George,

nice work. But it should reflect the names of that time. I changed the mariage 2 place name. Bio should also show names of the time... not 2018 place names.

Also, do we have a source for the birth date as April 2, 1643 ? ... Nos origines is a site just like Wikitree where anyone can add information and personnally, I always get a better source before making any change.

Filles du Roi Project WikiTree, Darrel and Paul:

Would it be acceptable for me to proceed with my proposed bio and do a profile clean-up?

Change estimated year of birth per Nos Origines: Marie Magné?

Marie Magnier was born on April 2, 1643, in Paris, Île-de-France, France. She married Louis Jinchereau on January 7, 1673, in Quebec (Urban Agglomeration), Quebec. They had one child during their marriage. She died on December 5, 1723, having lived a long life of 80 years.

Magnier-2 and Magnier-3 appear to represent the same person because: This is the same woman, on one profile she has been listed as being born in Canada, this is an error (probably computer search error), she was a fille du roi who first married Michel Chartier around 1665 and then later married Louis Jinchereau. Do not have data on who her parents may have been, the record of her first marriage was not found, which would normally have listed them. So any parents for her are (from my data) uncertain. All this verified in Drouin collection

Magnier-2 and Magnier-3 are not ready to be merged because: I don't know who the correct parents are. If you do, then I am happy to approve the merge

Magnier-11 and Magnier-2 appear to represent the same person because: she marreid both Louis and Michel
