Biography

Madeline was born in 1904. ^[1] She was the daughter of Martin Madsen and Emily Rosewarne.

She married Charles O'Brien in 1938. ^[2]

Doreen and Madeleine (sisters) were both engaged to other men before meeting and marrying brothers (Eugene and Charles). They were both hairdressers (untrained) and opened a salon in Marrickville (first called Misses Madsen and later La Parisienne).
