Biography
Barbara Mackay was born about 1630 in Scourie, Lairg, Sutherland. She was the daughter of Maj. Gen. Hugh Mackay and Ann Corbet.
Her siblings were:
She married John Mackay, 2nd Lord Reay, as his second wife. The marriage occurring about 1650 and she certainly appearing as his wife in accounts of the family in 1651.[1] It could be presumed she was young, she was likely born about 1630.
Their children were:
Barbara died about 1690 in Farr, Strathnaver, Sutherland aged ~60.
