Catherine Edith Macauley Mackay (married name Martin) was born in 1848, the daughter of Samuel Nicholson Mackay.
She was a novelist, using the pseudonyms M.C. or Mrs Alick MacLeod, or publishing anonymously.[1]
She married Frederick Martin on 4 March 1882 at St Paul's Church in Adelaide, South Australia.[2]
Catherine died on 15 March 1937 at Hyde Park, Adelaide.[3] Her remains were buried at West Terrace Cemetery in Adelaide.[4]
MARTIN— MACKAY.— On the 4th March, at St. Paul's Church, Adelaide, by the Very Rev. Dean Russell, Frederick, son of E. M. Martin, of Norwood, to Catherine Edith Macaulay, fourth and youngest daughter of the late Samuel Nicholson Mackay, late of Ben Mohr, Invernesshire, Scotland.
