Biography

Catherine Edith Macauley Mackay (married name Martin) was born in 1848, the daughter of Samuel Nicholson Mackay.

She was a novelist, using the pseudonyms M.C. or Mrs Alick MacLeod, or publishing anonymously.^[1]

She married Frederick Martin on 4 March 1882 at St Paul's Church in Adelaide, South Australia.^[2]

Catherine died on 15 March 1937 at Hyde Park, Adelaide.^[3] Her remains were buried at West Terrace Cemetery in Adelaide.^[4]
